Road Trips from NYC: Cold Spring, NY

As great as New York is, a change of scenery is necessary from time to time. Fortunately, there are plenty of quick rides you can take to find yourself in a completely different world. One spontaneous trip, led my husband and I to Cold Springs, NY. It’s about an hour outside of NYC (diving) and can also accessible by Metro North. If you live in New York, take the time to explore this quaint town with magnificent views of the Hudson River.

The four to five block stretch of Main Street we explored houses back-to-back antique shops. Each has it’s own unique personality and endless treasures to discover. You can easily get lost for hours in the shops.

In spite of all the great vintage treasures that surrounded us, our favorite part was the ice cream at Moo Moo’s.  The ice cream was incredibly creamy and fresh. The shop is this cozy little thing that makes you feel like you’ve just walked into someone’s living room.

We’ve been to Cold Springs twice this summer and we just know no visit will be complete without a stop here. I'm on a mission to try every flavor!

Live Beautifully Tip:
Take a spontaneous day trip!  You never know what treasures you'll encounter on your way.
